Fixed Assets & Intangibles
Track fixed assets, intangibles and long-term prepaids from purchase through depreciation and disposal in CCMonet.
Fixed Assets is where CCMonet keeps the long-lived things your business owns — equipment, vehicles, construction in progress, intangibles and long-term deferred expenses — and depreciates them over time. Most assets appear here automatically: when you confirm a vendor bill whose line items use an asset-typed category, CCMonet turns those lines into asset records. From there you can view them, depreciate them, move or reassign them, dispose of them, and record assets you already owned before adopting CCMonet.
You'll find the register in the left sidebar under Finance → Assets. It has two views you switch between with the Manage / Depreciation Table toggle, and a category tab strip across the top (Construction in Progress, Fixed Assets, Intangible Assets, Long-term Deferred Expenses).
Before assets appear
Configure your asset categories
Depreciation is managed by category. Until a category has a depreciation template (method, useful life, residual value and the accounts to use), matching bill lines are skipped. See Set up an asset category and its depreciation defaults.
Buy the asset on a bill
Enter and confirm the vendor bill in Purchases & Expenses, coding the line to an asset category. CCMonet recognizes the asset from that confirmed line.
Manage it in the register
The new asset shows up under Finance → Assets with a link back to its source bill. See View your fixed asset register.

Recognizing an asset, running depreciation and disposing of an asset all post entries to your general ledger, and the amounts depend on the method, useful life, residual value and accounts you configure. This manual shows you how to use each feature; whether a particular depreciation method or disposal treatment is right for your business is best confirmed with your accountant.
